Christos Alevras was born in Larisa Greece in 1950 and lives close to Thessaloniki. He studied mechanical engineering and at the same time he became engaged in private studies in sculpture, painting and video. He is a member of Ε. Ε. Τ. Ε. (Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece) and the Association of Visual Arts Artists of Northern Greece (SKETBE) Some of his works can be found – - at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki – at the town park of Polichni - at the town park of Ierissos -a t the Municipal Art Gallery of Stavroupoli – at the Municipal Art Gallery of Kitsebo - at the Municipal Art Gallery of Strumnitsa -at the Adzak Museum in Paris -at the Vafopoylio Art Center,Thessaloniki – -at the Municipal Museum of Damascus -at the Greek Embassy, Beijing and in private collections

            Ο Χρήστος Αλευράς γεννήθηκε το 1950 στη Λάρισα και ζει στη Αλεξάνδρεια Ημαθίας.        Σπούδασε μηχανολόγος μηχανικός και έκανε ιδιωτικές σπουδές στη γλυπτική, τη φωτογραφία και το  video .    Είναι μέλος του ΕΕΤΕ και του ΣΚΕΤΒΕ.     Επιλέχθηκε από την οργανωτική επιτροπή της 2 ης  Μπιεννάλε Πεκίνου, στην οποία συμμετείχε με το έργο του «Διαλογικός» .    Εξέθεσε σε ατομική έκθεση στα 43 α  ΔΗΜΗΤΡΙΑ στο Παλαιό Αρχαιολογικό Μουσείο, ένα σύνολο έργων με θέμα: «Επι-κοινωνία-Κοινωνία».  Έχει εκθέσει σε πολλές πόλεις της Ελλάδας όπως και στο Παρίσι, Δαμασκό, Αλέπο, Μπούτβα, Κίτσεβο, Στρούμνιτσα, Βελιγράδι  κτλ.     Διοργάνωσε το 2006 , διεθνές ‘’Συμπόσιο τέχνης ‘’ στη Ιερισσό.     Συμμετείχε σε παράλληλη έκθεση της 1 ης  Μπιεννάλε Θεσσαλονίκης (Νάουσα, Καβάλα, Θεσ/νικη),  όπως και σε άλλες Μπιεννάλε με άλλα έργα   και σε δεκάδες ομαδικές εκθέσεις αλλά και σε πολλά διεθνή συμπόσια γλυπτικής .

“Without the Intellect nothing thinks” (Aristotle, De anima, III. 430a 22) Being in by Greece, I had the honour to be invited by the Visual Artists Association of Northern Greece to come and see what was happening in Ierissos, in Chalkidiki. Under the shadow of the  Mount Athos , close to the isthmus where Xerxes disembarked, in this historical place of meetings, the elected and the Arts Center of Ierissos offered this summer a remarkable cultural experience. All the people of the city, residents or people  ο n vacation, amateurs, were invited to come and meet contemporary Greek artists of international fame...For ten days, twenty persons lived together: they ate, they worked, they discussed. Bonds were created. The richness of the initiative is partly due to the reception of artists in residence. The experience of the one allowed the emulation of the other.
